CARBO Ceramics is a supplier of ceramic proppant. Co. also sells resin-coated sand. Co. provides fracture simulation software, fracture design and consulting services, and a range of technologies for spill prevention, containment and countermeasures. Co. sells the majority of its products and services to operators of oil and natural gas wells and to oilfield service companies. Co.'s products and services are used in the hydraulic fracturing of natural gas and oil wells. Co. primarily manufactures five distinct ceramic proppants. CARBOHSP® and CARBOPROP® are proppants used in deep oil and gas wells. CARBOLITE®, CARBOECONOPROP® and CARBOHYDROPROP® are lightweight ceramic proppants.
