D.R. Horton is a homebuilding company. Co. constructs and sells homes primarily under the name of D.R. Horton, America's Builder. Co.'s homebuilding operations involve the sale of completed homes, with a lesser amount, the sale of land and lots. In addition to building single-family detached homes, Co. builds attached homes, such as town homes, duplexes, triplexes and condominiums. Through its financial services operations, Co. provides mortgage financing and title agency services to homebuyers in several of its homebuilding markets. Co.'s subsidiary title companies provide title insurance policies, examination and closing services, primarily to its homebuilding customers.
