Companhia de Saneamento Basico do Estado de Sao Paulo is engaged in the provision of water and sewage services to residential, commercial, industrial and governmental customers in 364 of the 645 municipalities in the State of Sao Paulo. Co. also supplies water on a wholesale basis to six municipalities in the Sao Paulo Metropolitan Region. As of Dec 31 2010, Co. provided water services to around 27.2 million people through water pipes. As of Dec 31 2010, Co. provided sewage services to approximately 20.024 million people through sewer lines.
