Ultra Petroleum is an independent oil and gas company engaged in the development, production, operation, exploration and acquisition of oil and natural gas properties. Co.'s operations are primarily located in the Green River Basin of southwest Wyoming and the north-central Pennsylvania area of the Appalachian Basin. Co. also has acreage in eastern Colorado's Denver Julesburg Basin. As of Dec 31 2011, Co. had total proved reserves of 4.97 trillion cubic feet of natural gas equivalent. As of Dec 31 2011, proved undeveloped reserves represent 58.9% of Co.'s total proved reserves.
