XLU, XOP: Big ETF Inflows
updated Monday, October 20, 12:42 PMComparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLU), which added 16,400,000 units, or a 12.5% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLU, in morning trading today Duke Energy (DUK) is up about 0.7%, and Southern Company (SO) is higher by about 0.7%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest increase in inflows was the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP), which added 7,300,000 units, for a 37.8% increase in outstanding units. Among the largest underlying components of XOP, in morning trading today Athlon Energy (ATHL) is up about 0.2%, and Tesoro (TSO) is up by about 7.3%.
