SPY, UPW: Big ETF Inflows
updated Thursday, November 6, 12:29 PMComparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), which added 38,800,000 units, or a 4.3% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SPY, in morning trading today Apple (AAPL) is down about 0.3%, and Exxon Mobil (XOM) is higher by about 0.2%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest increase in inflows was the Proshares Ultra Utilities (UPW), which added 100,000 units, for a 33.3% increase in outstanding units. Among the largest underlying components of UPW, in morning trading today AES Corporation (AES) is off about 3.6%, and AGL Resources (GAS) is lower by about 0.9%.
