Wednesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: BIK
updated Wednesday, March 18, 2:43 PMThe SPDR S&P BRIC 40 ETF (BIK) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 74,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 36,000. Shares of BIK were up about 0.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Alibaba Group (BABA), trading off about 0.1% with over 25.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Petroleo Brasileiro (PBR), up about 1.3% on volume of over 23.2 million shares. Baidu (BIDU) is the component faring the best Wednesday, higher by about 2.5% on the day, while Vale (VALE) is lagging other components of the SPDR S&P BRIC 40 ETF, trading lower by about 3.3%.
