XLU, KORU: Big ETF Outflows
updated Wednesday, June 17, 10:47 AMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLU), where 3,450,000 units were destroyed, or a 2.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLU, in morning trading today Duke Energy Corporation (DUK) is up about 0.5%, and Nextera Energy (NEE) is up by about 0.9%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Daily South Korea Bull 3x Shares (KORU), which lost 50,000 of its units, representing a 33.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of KORU, in morning trading today iShares Msci South Korea Index (EWY) is off about 0.2%.
