Wednesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: RYE
updated Wednesday, November 11, 1:09 PMThe Guggenheim S&P 500 Equal Weight Energy ETF (RYE) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 149,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 42,000. Shares of RYE were down about 2.7% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Kinder Morgan (KMI), trading off about 4% with over 12.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Chesapeake Energy (CHK), down about 4.4% on volume of over 9.7 million shares. Occidental Petroleum (OXY) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 0.5% on the day, while Southwestern Energy (SWN) is lagging other components of the Guggenheim S&P 500 Equal Weight Energy ETF, trading lower by about 8%.
