Thursday's ETF Movers: XLU, KRE
updated Thursday, October 13, 1:52 PMIn trading on Thursday, the Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund ETF (XLU) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.7% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of PPL (PPL), up about 2.2% and shares of Duke Energy (DUK), up about 2% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (KRE), down about 3% in Thursday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Thursday were shares of First Republic Bank (FRC), lower by about 5.2%, and shares of OFG Bancorp (OFG), lower by about 4.5% on the day.
