XLU, PEX: Big ETF Outflows
updated Wednesday, July 5, 10:48 AMLooking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLU), where 16,600,000 units were destroyed, or a 11.1% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLU, in morning trading today Nextera Energy (NEE) is off about 0.7%, and Duke Energy (DUK) is lower by about 0.4%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the ProShares Global Listed Private Equity ETF (PEX), which lost 74,999 of its units, representing a 21.4% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of PEX, in morning trading today Information Services Group (III) is off about 2.4%, and Ares Capital (ARCC) is up by about 0.9%.
